Hovertravel is adding a sprinkle of Christmas magic to its popular Behind-the-Scenes Tour this December — complete with mince pies, festive selfies, and holiday surprises.

Hovertravel has been named Ferry Operator of the Year at the National Transport Awards 2025, held in London last week.

Turning Hovercraft Rubber into Art and Everyday ItemsSince 2024, Hovertravel has been working with Twyford Recycling to process retired hovercraft skirts.

The service, run in partnership with the Isle of Wight NHS Trust and South Central Ambulance Service, uses Hovertravel’s unique hovercraft to move stretcher patients across the Solent in just minutes.
