Hovertravel Launches New Group Minibus Hire To Boost Isle Of Wight Visitor Travel

Visitors travelling to the Isle of Wight by hovercraft will now be able to continue their journey in greater comfort and convenience, following a new partnership designed to make group travel easier.

Hovertravel has teamed up with Premier Rental to offer nine-seater minibus hire directly from Ryde Hoverport.

The service means groups arriving from Southsea can step off the hovercraft and collect a pre-booked vehicle on arrival, allowing them to explore the Island together without relying on public transport.

The minibuses can be driven on a standard car licence, making them accessible to most group travellers and families.

Hovertravel says the initiative is aimed at supporting growing demand for group and multi-generational holidays, giving visitors the flexibility to travel at their own pace and build their own itineraries across the Island.

The company already operates the fastest route across the Solent, with crossings between Southsea and Ryde taking under 10 minutes.

The new arrangement is expected to appeal to families, friendship groups and reunion parties looking for a straightforward way to travel together and make the most of their time on the Isle of Wight.
