Hovertravel has announced a boost to its summer timetable, adding more flights to meet rising customer demand following the early introduction of later evening services.
From 6th April, passengers will notice minor adjustments to weekday and weekend afternoon departures, with some flights shifting by up to 15 minutes.
These changes are designed to improve efficiency while keeping Hovertravel’s service fast and reliable.
Looking ahead to the peak summer season, from 6th July to 31st August, Hovertravel will operate an additional 56 flights per week, giving passengers even more flexibility to plan journeys across the Solent.
With crossings taking just 10 minutes, it remains one of the quickest and most convenient ways to travel between Southsea and Ryde.
Loretta Lale, Head of Marketing at Hovertravel, said:
“We are increasing the number of flights through the busy summer period to give our customers the opportunity to maximise their days out.
"Whether it’s a spontaneous trip or a carefully planned visit, these extra services provide greater flexibility and choice during our most popular time of year.”
Hovertravel also emphasised that its timetable remains dynamic, with the option to add further flights if customer demand increases.
Passengers are encouraged to use the interactive timetable online for the most up-to-date service information.
Travellers planning trips this summer are advised to check the new timetable in advance to see if any changes affect their plans.
