Hovertravel Suspends Ryde-Southsea Services This Morning Due To Technical Issue

Hovertravel passengers have been left stranded this morning (Thursday) after services between Ryde and Southsea were suspended due to a technical issue.

The cross-Solent operator confirmed that all flights are cancelled while engineers work to resolve the problem.

Passengers holding tickets for today’s crossings are being advised that their tickets will be accepted on Wightlink’s FastCat service in the meantime.

Hovertravel has said it will provide a further update on the status of services at midday today.

Passengers are also being encouraged to view the operator’s disruption contingency plan for more information on how services will be managed.

Travelers are advised to check before heading to the terminal and allow extra time for their journeys.
