Woman Dies Following Medical Emergency On Vessel Off Osborne Bay

A woman has died after suffering a medical emergency aboard a vessel moored off Osborne Bay.

Emergency services were called into action during the early hours of Sunday after HM Coastguard received reports that a woman on board the vessel required urgent medical assistance.

A multi-agency response involving HM Coastguard and Cowes RNLI saw the casualty brought safely ashore, where she was treated by paramedics from the Isle of Wight Ambulance Service.

Despite their efforts, the woman was pronounced dead.

Police have confirmed that her next of kin have been informed.

The death is not being treated as suspicious and a file is being prepared for the coroner.
