A woman has been arrested on suspicion of assault following an incident in Niton last night (Sunday).
Officers were called at 9.22pm with reports that a man had been assaulted in Chatfield Road.
A spokesperson for Hampshire Constabulary confirmed:
"A 32-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of assault occasioning actual bodily harm, and she remains in custody at this time.
"The parties involved are known to one another."
