Wight Noize: Isle Of Wight Musicians Set To Battle For Main Stage Festival Slot

The finalists for this year's Wight Noize competition will compete for a coveted Isle of Wight Festival Main Stage slot this weekend.

Seven Island talents will go head-to-head at Strings in Newport on Saturday (May 13) with the winner performing at the Seaclose Park event next month.

All of the performers are students at Newport's Platform One Music College, which has hosted the event since its inception in 1999 and last year crowned Beth Brookfield the first ever winning female solo artist.

Doors for Wight Noize open at 7pm, with music starting at 7.30pm and a running order announced on the night. All acts will play three songs. 
 
Entry costs £5 on the door, and is open to anyone aged 16 or over.
