WATCH: Level 42's Mark King Rocks Taylor Hawkins Tribute Concert In LA

Level 42's Mark King was among the performers at a special tribute concert for late Foo Fighters star Taylor Hawkins in LA.

The Isle of Wight musician was introduced on stage by singer Justin Hawkins as "one of the drummer's favourite musicians".

"A bass behemoth, the man with thumbs of glory”, The Darkness frontman said.

Mark played Level 42 hit 'Something About You', which was said to be one of Taylor's favourite songs.

It was performed alongside the Coattail Riders, the band Taylor founded and played with when the Foos were on a break.

Mark King and Taylor Hawkins worked together on the Coattail Rider's song Queen of the Clowns.

Last night's event followed a similar celebration in London earlier this month.

Also performing at the US concert were the likes of Pink and Miley Cyrus.

Opening the gig Dave Grohl invited fans to "spend some time in the musical mind" of the late 50-year-old, who was found dead in Colombia in March.
