Ryde Man Due In Court After Incident Involving Knife

A Ryde man is due in court next month (September), charged following an incident involving a knife.

As previously reported by Isle of Wight Radio, police were called to reports of a man with a knife shouting in Melville Street on Saturday evening.

Mark Andrew Saurin, 59, of Melville Street, has been charged with aggravated burglary and possession of a knife blade/sharp pointed article in a public place.

He appeared at Portsmouth Magistrates Court this morning (Monday).

He has been remanded in custody to Portsmouth Crown Court on Monday 26 September.
