A robbery has seen an area of Upper Ventnor cordoned off this afternoon (Monday).
It comes after two men reportedly approached a person on Newport Road and stole their bag.
An investigation is ongoing, although nobody has yet been arrested.
A spokesperson for Hampshire Constabulary confirmed:
"We were called at midday to a report of a robbery in Newport Road.
"A person was approached by two men and had his bag stolen.
"Enquiries are ongoing."
