A man has been arrested after trying to run away from police in Havenstreet this morning (Wednesday).
At around 10.30am, officers detained a man along Briddlesford Road after he was caught using his mobile phone while driving.
Following a vehicle stop he attempted to flee the scene on foot and resisted officers during attempts to detain him.
He was subsequently arrested.
