Isle Of Wight Kickboxer Chosen To Represent Great Britain

An Isle of Wight kickboxer has been chosen to represent Great Britain in an international tournament.

Dominic Marsh has been selected to take part in the World Association of Kickboxing Organisation (WAKO) European Championships, in Turkey this November.

WAKO represents the highest standard of amateur kickboxing and is recognised by the International Olympic Committee, which means it will be an Olympic sport in the future.

After attending the WAKO GB trial this weekend, with Panther Coaches Aaron Mchugh and George Borrett, the team endured nearly 12 hours of full contact training delivered by top class coaches.

After an intense weekend, Dominic was delighted to be informed that he had been chosen to represent Great Britain.

Dominic who is Club Coach at IW Panther Kickboxing Club at TJ’s Gym in Lake, will be representing Team GB in the -67kg Senior Male Full Contact Kickboxing division.

Dominic is now looking for sponsorships towards his training and the trip to Turkey, as he will be competing against fully funded European Athletes.

If anyone wants to support, contact Dominic through IW Panther Kickboxing Club/ TJ’s Gym.
