Gritters will be out in force on the Island's roads in the early hours of tomorrow morning (Wednesday).
It comes as a rare amber weather alert is issued by the Met Office for the Island, as previously reported by Isle of Wight Radio.
Precautionary routes and bridge decks at Stag Lane and Foxes Road in Newport are being treated.
Treatment will commence at around 3am.
Island Roads said:
"Please drive according to the weather conditions."
