Fun At The Double For Robin Hill And Blackgang Visitors This Half-Term

Two of the Island’s biggest tourist attractions, Blackgang Chine and Robin Hill, will be hosting exciting events this May-Half Term.

From May 27 to 29, the official Isle of Wight Balloon Festival at Robin Hill returns with a display of vibrant hot air balloons, live music, family activities, and food stalls.

The afternoon begins with informative pilot talks in the Amphitheatre, where industry experts discuss all things balloon related.

A spokesperson for Vectis Ventures, which oversees the activities, said:

"Visitors will be able to explore the ancient woodland and enjoy exciting family entertainment in the Lower Valley, including hamster zorbing, football darts and the bouncy slide.

"They can also relax on a picnic blanket while enjoying the festival's live music and vibrant hot-air balloon displays.

"And as the sun goes down, our house DJ will play before our award-winning Night Glow spectacular finale."

Meanwhile at Blackgang...

Cowboys Vs Dinosaurs returns to Blackgang Chine from May 27 to June 3.

A range of shows and interactive activities will take place, while visitors are invited to vote for their favourite to be crowned champion in the Isle of Wight's most intense popularity contest in an epic Showdown at the end of the day.

With a joint-park ticket, you can experience both events, as well as the added bonus of seven-day free return.
