Flood Alert Issued For Isle Of Wight

A flood alert has been issued for the Isle of Wight this morning (Wednesday).

The Environment Agency has warned Islanders to monitor local water levels and weather conditions.

The alert says to avoid using low lying footpaths or entering areas prone to flooding. Start acting on your flood plan if you have one.

High tides for the Island will be in place from about 11.20am this morning when we could see some over-topping along some coast roads and car parks.

Meanwhile, Hovertravel, Wightlink and Red Funnel services have returned to timetable following earlier disruption.
