Expect Cooler Temperatures This Evening, Says Isle Of Wight Met Service

Temperatures across the Isle of Wight are expected to drop by around 10°C this evening, the Isle of Wight Met Service has said.

Local forecasters are predicting cooler weather as thundery showers approach the Island.

Jamie Russell said:

"We may hear the odd rumble here and there but in general it is gradually weakening.

"Once the narrow showery line moves through expect a big change in temperature along with an increase in wind strength."

A Met Office weather warning for thunder is coming into place for parts of the country tomorrow (Wednesday) — but it narrowly misses the Island.

Temperatures have continued to soar on the Island today (Tuesday).

Yesterday (Monday), 36.7°C was recorded in Northwood.
