A police investigation is ongoing after a man in his 20s suffered a head injury following an assault in Newport last night (Thursday.)
Officers were called at 10.33pm to reports of the assault in Lugley Street.
A cordon was subsequently put in place.
The man in his 20s suffered a head injury but this is not thought to be serious.
Enquiries remain ongoing.
