East Cowes Man Pleads Not Guilty To Breaching Councillor Restraining Order

An East Cowes man has pleaded not guilty to breaching a restraining order against an Isle of Wight Councillor.

Appearing yesterday (Thursday), at the Isle of Wight Crown Court, Simon Wheeler was charged with acting in breach of a restraining order against Cllr Karl Love.

It is alleged Mr Wheeler, of Albany Road, contacted Cllr Love on November 3 earlier this year when he was prohibited from doing so.

A trial date has been set for the week commencing April 15, 2024.

Mr Wheeler was granted conditional bail and told not to contact Cllr Love or attend any Isle of Wight Council meetings.
