Designs Revealed For Freshwater Skatepark And Jump Track As Progress Continues

Freshwater Parish Council’s plan to build a new Skatepark and pump track has now moved to the next stage.

Initial designs have been released to the public for consultation.

There will be further consultation with residents, a site visit for councillors and interaction with local riders as part of the next phase of developments.

A spokesperson for Freshwater Parish Council — which is helping to fund the new skatepark — said:

"The current skatepark has served its purpose and has always been popular, but its design and location doesn’t fit with current thinking.

"Freshwater Parish Council welcome any interest in sponsorship for the new park and pump track.

"Freshwater skatepark is coming to the end of its life with repairs and upkeep becoming increasingly costly."

Freshwater Parish Council is investing £60,000 this year into the project with another £60,000 planned for next year.

It is now looking at all avenues of community fundraising to try and match the funding through sponsorship and/or donations.

The Parish Council has also asked local riders to get in touch if they have any ideas for the final designs.
