To mark 15 years of providing wildlife education, Naturezones Wildlife Education Trust is launching it's first isle of Wight Wildlife Photography Competition.

The competition is open to all amateur and keen wildlife photographers, who are invited to submit one framed A4, portrait or landscape photograph.

The photo must have been taken on the Isle of Wight between September 2022 and June 2023.

All submitted photos will be displayed in an exhibition in the pavilion at Naturezones, Blackwater during August 2023. There is a first prize of £100 for the most liked photograph chosen by popular vote.

The 12 most voted for images will be published in Naturezones 2024 Isle of Wight Wildlife calendar and full details can be found on Naturezones website

A spokesperson for Naturezones - based in Blackwater - said:

“There are a lot of amateur photographers on the Island, especially of Island wildlife, and we want to give them the opportunity to showcase their images.

"By Wildlife we mean any native species that lives or grows in the wild on the Island.”
