Budding Island DJs Encouraged To Join Free Music Course

DJ Lisa Lashes

Budding Isle of Wight DJs are being invited to enrol on a free course with legendary dance DJ, Lisa Lashes.

The superstar, who has more than 25 years of experience in club nights, events and festivals, has created the course to teach hopeful DJs everything there is to know about the industry.

She already runs the hugely-successful Lisa Lashes School of Music, with business partner, Deborah Hewitt.

The free course is funded by the Government, and is launching in Southampton for anyone aged 16 and over, who has aspirations of being in the music industry.

Lisa has built a reputation for herself in the music industry as a skilled DJ and producer, and this is a great opportunity for aspiring DJs to learn from her expertise.

Lisa told Isle of Wight Radio:

"If we can find some people from the Isle of Wight who want to get into night-time industries - whether it be DJing or hospitality - we want to help put them on the right path. We've seen some fantastic people do really well from our courses across the country.

"Our professional team have been involved in music for 25-30 years and we are very lucky to know the people we do, who can open doors and create opportunities.

"If you've got the talent then you can go far, but our courses are also for people just to enjoy themselves. We know how powerful music is and how it can make such a positive difference to someone's life.

"We create a safe, inclusive environment where people can feel valued, supported, and nurtured to create, learn, and thrive - all while helping them to develop knowledge, skills, and even memories, that will last a lifetime."

It's kicking off at Popworld in Southampton on February 23 and 24 and will run for four weeks.

Lisa has also called on her friends and industry experts from across her career in music to help.
