Bigger And Better Than Ever — But Don't Let It Be The Last Rainbow Run!

Organisers are urging participants to come forward and take part in this year's Wessex Cancer Trust Rainbow Run to ensure the event's survival.

The run, which takes place on Sunday June 25 to raise funds for Islanders affected by cancer, has been given a new lease of life with its video game theme and jam-packed entertainment village for 2023.

Brand new obstacles on the 3km course, including a fabulous optional slip ‘n’ slide, live music and event sponsor, WightFibre, on site with their WightFibre bus, will make the Island’s happiest 3k a sure hit to kick off summer.

Laura Haytack, Wessex Cancer Trust's Regional Fundraising Manager, said:

“Rainbow Run is one of our most popular events on the Island every year and we don’t want it to be our last.

"The ticket price covers the cost of putting the event on, so without sponsorship we can’t raise what we need for Islanders affected by cancer.

“We’re thrilled to be giving Rainbow Run a shake up with a video game theme and a giant entertainment village, packed with a full day of fun for all our incredible supporters.

"After all, we wouldn’t be able to offer the support we do without everyone taking part and raising sponsorship.”

An entire entertainment village this year means a whole lot more fun for runners and spectators, packed with activities and games.

Attendees can enjoy live music from Ear Candy and Platform One band, The Bandits. Award-winning entertainer, AJ, will also be performing and is one not to miss.

Tracey’s Facepainting will be offering free facepainting, while Adam Art, will be offering people their own personalised caricatures, as well as much more yet to be announced.

Tickets are on sale now via the website.
