The incidents occurred between 14 July 2022 and 16 June this year in the York Avenue, Mayfield Road, Victoria Grove and Kent Avenue areas.

In the most recent incident, a fire occurred at a house in Princess Close.

The total estimated damage for all of these incidents combined is around £350-400,000.

The North East Wight Neighbourhoods Policing Team, with support from CID, have been following up all available lines of enquiry into these incidents, and a 56-year-old man from East Cowes has now been detained.
