An altercation in Haylands this afternoon (Tuesday) has led to the arrest of a man in his thirties.
A spokesperson from Hampshire Constabulary said:
"Officers came across an altercation taking place on Upton Road, Ryde just after 3pm this afternoon.
"A 31-year-old man from Ryde has been arrested on suspicion of assault occasioning actual bodily harm."
He remains in police custody.
