Alcoholics Anonymous Exhibition Coming To Isle Of Wight Library

An upcoming exhibition celebrating 75 years of Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) in Britain will feature at Newport's Lord Louis Library from next month.

"Darkness into Light" aims to increase awareness of what AA is and how people who may have a problem with their drinking can get support.

It will be exhibited in Newport from February 28 until March 27.

The world's first museum display on the work of Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) was held Glasgow’s Kelvingrove Art Gallery in October 2017.

The exhibition detailed the fellowship’s history and ongoing work.

There is a website containing further details of the exhibition and the areas it will visit.

All members of the public and professionals are invited to attend.

Admission is free and gives the opportunity to learn more about AA, its long history of helping alcoholics recover, its presence across the globe and the work done to help others.

The display will also include the history of the AA groups on the Island as well as participation by Al-Anon (groups for family and friends of alcoholics).

Email [email protected] for further information on either AA, the opening event or the exhibition.
