Woman Arrested After Police Execute Drug Warrant In Newport

Cash, mobile phones and suspected drugs have been seized after police executed a warrant at a property in Newport this morning (Monday).

Officers from Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary carried out the warrant at an address on Scarrots Lane at around 09:00 as part of an ongoing investigation.

During the operation, a number of items were recovered, including cash, mobile phones and substances believed to be drugs.

A 25-year-old woman from Newport was arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of a Class A drug.

Police have since confirmed that the woman has been released under investigation while enquiries continue.
