Isle of Wight Radio Retro is the exciting new addition to the Island’s airwaves; built around the songs you love and the voices you know. It’s familiar, uplifting and easy to listen to...

After 35 years on the air, Isle of Wight Radio is getting a sister, Isle of Wight Radio Retro. It will feel like rediscovering an old favourite - familiar, welcoming and full of great musical memories from the 70s, 80s and 90s.

It’s your local retro station for the island, with the latest news and travel, plus our What’s On Guide will keep you connected to everything ‘retro’ happening across the Island, from live music gigs to themed party nights.

Start your morning with Jenni Costello’s Weekday Breakfast, bringing warmth, energy and a brilliant feel-good soundtrack, including the 90s @ 9 – showcasing some great songs we guarantee you weren’t have heard for ages!

On the way home, Nick Osborne’s Drive Home will keep you company with great music, including his Dinnertime Disco, showcasing the very best floor fillers from the late 70s and early 80s.

And if your day has been a stressful one, why not chill out with The Nightshift from 10pm, as we end the day with the very best classy soul, funk, and late-night grooves.

And at the weekend, Andy Knight will wake you with up with an up-tempo soundtrack guaranteed to be as effective as even the strongest caffeine hit, whilst Alex Dyke’s Bubble Gum and Cheese returns every Saturday and Sunday from 10am with his unique mixture of hidden gems, old favourites and singalong classics that you haven’t heard in years.

And if you’re still craving a Retro hit, Mark Dodson’s Sunday afternoon will get you sorted with some great musical memories, a few surprises, and The Rewind after 5pm.
