Two Men Charged After Closure Order Breached in Newport

Police were called to Angelica Close, Newport, at around 4.56pm yesterday (Tuesday 23 September) following reports of a closure order being breached.

On arrival, officers arrested two men:

• 45-year-old Lean Paul Carr, from Mitchell Avenue in Newport

• 33-year-old Aaran Jesserae Wood, from The Brambles in Sandown

Both have been charged with remaining on/entering a premises in contravention of a closure notice.

Carr has been bailed to appear before Isle of Wight Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday 21 October, while Wood has been remanded in custody and has appeared in court today (Wednesday 24 September).
