Newchurch residents are being invited to a drop-in event ahead of work to replace 1,200m of water mains which have suffered repeated bursts.
Southern Water says the section between Winford Road and The Shute has experienced 10 bursts in the past decade, resulting in disruption while emergency repairs were carried out.
A customer drop-in will take place at Newchurch Pavilion on Watery Lane between 15:30 and 18:00 on Wednesday 2nd September.
Residents will be able to meet the project team and learn more about the work, including planned traffic management.

A rolling road closure, beginning at Winford Road and moving towards The Shute, is due to start on Monday 5th October.
Southern Water says the work forms part of a £5million investment to replace ageing PVC pipes with modern materials.
Adam Wilds, stakeholder manager for the Island, said replacing the pipes in full would avoid repeated emergency repairs in the future.
The company says 11 projects have already been delivered on the Island this year, with 6,751m of pipe upgraded or replaced alongside improvements to valves and other equipment.
