A night of live country music is coming to Newport this February, with proceeds going to support older people on the Isle of Wight.
Age UK Isle of Wight has announced Nashville Nights, a fundraising concert at the Apollo Theatre on Saturday 21 February 2026.
Fresh from the West End production of the same name, Nashville Nights features acoustic trio Steve Young (UK) and Savannah Gardner (USA), alongside acclaimed fiddle player Jade Cuthbert.
The show promises a “foot-stomping” celebration of American country music, with classic hits and original songs.
The evening will also include support from Isle of Wight artist Angelina Grimshaw, showcasing homegrown country music talent.
The event has been organised by long-standing Age UK Isle of Wight supporter Steve Double, with all funds raised helping the charity continue its work supporting older Islanders — tackling loneliness, helping people remain independent, and providing practical support and companionship.
Maria Bunce, Chief Officer at Age UK Isle of Wight, said the concert would both entertain and make a real difference.
She said:
“Events like this bring people together for a fantastic night out, while helping us raise crucial funds for our services.
"Every ticket sold helps us be there for someone who may be feeling isolated or in need of extra support.”
The show starts at 7.30pm (doors open at 6.30pm) at the Apollo Theatre on Pyle Street, Newport. Tickets cost £16.50 plus booking fee and are available online via TicketSource by searching Nashville Nights – Apollo Theatre Newport.
