Free Bike Marking Event To Be Held In Ventnor

A free bike marking event is being held in Ventnor next week to help reunite stolen bicycles with their owners.

The event, organised with support from local police, will take place at Salisbury Gardens on Thursday 24th September between 16:30 and 18:30.

Residents of any age can bring along a bicycle to have it registered free of charge on the national bike database.

Registration can help police identify a bicycle and return it to its owner if it is stolen and subsequently recovered.

The event has been organised by Ventnor Youth Group and local Youth Opportunities Officer Jordan Royl and is open to anyone with a bike.
