Man in 70s Dies Six Months After Ryde Esplanade Bicycle And Van Crash

A man in his 70s has died six months after a collision on Ryde Esplanade late last year, Police have confirmed.

The incident occurred on December 11 ,2024, when a bicycle and van were involved in a serious crash on the seafront.

The cyclist, a 76-year-old man from Ryde, died on 29 May.

Following a thorough investigation of the circumstances surrounding the collision, the case was filed with no further action to be taken.
