Man In 30s Arrested Following Newport Town Centre Disturbance

A man in his 30s has been arrested following a disturbance in Newport town centre this morning (Tuesday).

The 31-year-old from Newport was arrested on suspicion of common assault and using abusive language with intent to cause fear of violence.

Officers received the initial call at around 10am.

The man remains in custody this afternoon.
