Five candidates are standing in Ventnor and St Lawrence in the Isle of Wight Council elections on May 7.
Current councillor and Conservative group leader Ed Blake, who has represented the ward since December 2023, is seeking re-election.
He is being challenged by Craig Dabbs (Reform UK), Robin Jarvis (Labour), Linda Jefferies (Island Independent Network) and Graham Perks (Vectis Party).
Ed Blake says he has already delivered for the area and wants to continue supporting residents through local challenges.
Craig Dabbs, a former police officer, says roadworks management is a key issue and wants better planning to reduce disruption.
Labour’s Robin Jarvis says tackling sewage discharges and improving bathing water quality would be a priority.
Linda Jefferies, currently on Ventnor Town Council, says she wants to represent residents independently of party politics.
Graham Perks says fixing the road network, including Bath Road, and boosting tourism in the town are among his main concerns.
