A new Island-made sculpture celebrating one of sailing’s most famous yachts has been installed on the Undercliff ahead of this weekend’s Round the Island Race.

Five candidates are standing in Ventnor and St Lawrence in the Isle of Wight Council elections on May 7.

Thousands of homes and businesses across the South Wight are without power this afternoon.

It is understood the casualty was stretchered to the top of the cliff before being taken to St Mary’s Hospital for further treatment.
