It looks set to be a hot and sunny Wednesday across the Isle of Wight, with wall-to-wall sunshine expected from morning through to the evening.

Temperatures will reach 22 to 24°C around exposed coastal areas, but it will be much hotter inland, with highs of 27 to 29°C across most of the Island.

The north and east could see temperatures climb to 29 to 31°C.

Winds will be light and variable at 3 to 8mph inland, although gentle sea breezes are expected to develop along the coast during the day, offering some relief in coastal locations.

If you're spending time outdoors, remember to stay hydrated, seek shade during the hottest part of the afternoon and wear sunscreen, as UV levels will be high.
