Around five hundred adults and young people attended the annual free activity day provided by Isle of Wight Scouts at Corf Scout Campsite.
Those attending took part in a wide range of activities, including archery, climbing, tomahawk throwing, shooting, canoeing, and paddleboarding.
Dave Simpson, County Lead Volunteer, said:
“It was great to see so many people discover what Scouting and our Corf Campsite have to offer. Providing adventurous and exciting programmes of activity, especially outdoors, is such an important antidote to the stresses of life for both young people and our adult volunteers who gain so much through their volunteering.
"The event could not happen without the support of adult volunteers who run the activities, Wight Diamonds Marching Band who provide the musical instruments, the Isle of Wight Amateur Radio Club and our good friends at Corf Farm who allow us to park on their field when we have large activities.
"Everyone who donated £5 to park their car or bought refreshments helped to support both Corf Campsite and Scouts from 1st Newport and 1st Brighstone Scout Groups who have expeditions abroad this year."
Corf Scout Campsite has been owned by Isle of Wight Scouts since 1937 and will be celebrating 90 years in 2027.
The site is run entirely by volunteers and is used by Scouts, Guides and other organisations from the Island, the mainland and occasionally from abroad.
