Tourism and hospitality businesses on the Isle of Wight are being encouraged to put themselves forward for this year’s Beautiful South Awards for Excellence.

Visit Isle of Wight says the awards celebrate the very best of the region’s visitor economy, with categories covering accommodation, attractions, experiences, food and drink, and customer service.

Island businesses have performed strongly in recent years, with winners and finalists including East Afton Farmhouse, Luccombe Hotels, Wildheart Animal Sanctuary and The Royal Hotel.

To help those looking to apply, organisers are running a dedicated workshop offering guidance on how to create a strong entry, particularly for first-time applicants.

Chief Executive of Visit Isle of Wight, Dominic Wray, says the awards are a great chance to highlight the Island’s quality.

He said:

“We know there are incredible businesses across the Island delivering outstanding experiences every day.
"These awards are a fantastic opportunity to showcase that on a regional stage.
“Island businesses have performed strongly in previous years, and we’d love to see that continue.”

The awards are widely recognised as a mark of quality and can help boost a business’s profile, attract new customers and open up further opportunities.

More information on how to enter, along with details of the workshop, can be found on the Beautiful South Awards website.
