Historic Isle of Wight Coastal Hotel Hits Market for £4.2 Million

The historic Northbank Hotel in the desirable village of Seaview has come to market after more than 65 years of family ownership.
The Victorian property, built around 1850, overlooks the Solent and offers direct beach access.
Originally a private residence, it was used by the War Department and the Women’s Royal Naval Service during the Second World War before being converted into a hotel.
The three-storey hotel includes 16 guest bedrooms, a private lounge and bar, gardens, and a detached cottage.
It currently operates seasonally from May to October, with potential for extended trading.
Owner William Shaw-Yates described the property as “filled with memories and history” and hopes the next owners will cherish it as much as his family has.
Leisure property specialists Fleurets are handling the sale, with an asking price of £4.2 million.
Seaview is famed for its sailing heritage and scenic coastline, making the Northbank Hotel a rare opportunity to own a characterful, historic coastal property on the Isle of Wight.
