Firefighters from multiple Isle of Wight stations have responded to a house fire on a residential street in Bembridge today (Friday).
Teams from Ryde, Newport, and Shanklin went to Nightingale Close shortly after 11:15 am following reports of smoke coming from the property.
Officers from Hampshire & Isle of Wight Police and paramedics from the Isle of Wight Ambulance Service have also been on site.
The fire, which has affected the first floor and roof space, has largely been brought under control using hose reel and main jets. It is not yet known if anyone has been injured.
Fire crews have remained at the scene to fully extinguish the blaze, damp down hotspots, and clear smoke.
