An Isle of Wight-headquartered technology company has secured seed investment to tackle inefficiencies in the UK business mobile market, with a portion of profits directly funding habitat restoration along the Solent coastline.

Meaningful Planet, based on the Isle of Wight, has closed a seed funding round led by SFC Capital.

The investment will support the company’s expansion as it works with UK organisations to reduce waste, cost, and complexity in their mobile connectivity.

Meaningful Planet provides business mobile connectivity through its own network offering, with MILO, its integrated management platform, using predictive analytics and machine learning to monitor usage across entire SIM estates, detect inefficiencies before they become costly, and automatically optimise plans.

Early customers have achieved cost reductions of up to 28% in the first year.

Unlike legacy mobile providers that profit from complexity, Meaningful Planet's model aligns its success with customer outcomes - giving businesses clarity, control, and confidence rather than monetising overages or accidental roaming.

Sustainability is embedded into this model. Connectivity is provided on a carbon-neutral basis, and a portion of profits fund habitat restoration through regional Wildlife Trusts.

Local projects include seagrass meadow restoration along the Solent and Hampshire

coastline – seagrass captures carbon significantly faster than tropical rainforests and provides a vital habitat for species including seahorses, cuttlefish, and juvenile fish.

Nick Falkowski, Co-Founder and CEO of Meaningful Planet, said:

"For decades, telecoms margins have been built on complexity and misalignment.
"We've built the opposite - a model where efficiency, responsibility, and long-term value reinforce one another.
"Sustainability isn't an add-on: it's long-term business strategy."

Richard West, Co-Founder and COO, said:

"Our customers aren't choosing between saving money and doing the right thing - they're doing both, without taking on more complexity or admin."

Ed Stevenson, Principal at SFC Capital, said:

"The business mobile market has been inefficient for too long.
"Meaningful Planet fixes this with transparent pricing and smart automation that cuts waste.
"We're backing Nick and Richard as they prove businesses can save money and act responsibly at the same time."

Headquartered on the Isle of Wight, Meaningful Planet works with organisations across the UK and is rated a Best Buy Network by Ethical Consumer Magazine.

The company has presented as part of The Economist's sustainability programmes, Connected Britain, and Web Summit, and is a pending B Corporation.
