A man has been charged with multiple driving offences after police stopped a vehicle during a morning patrol in Freshwater earlier this week.
Officers pulled the vehicle over on Afton Road at around 8.20am on Wednesday (11 March) as part of routine patrols in the area.
Following enquiries, the driver was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving, driving while disqualified, taking a vehicle without the owner’s consent, and failing to provide a specimen for analysis.
Police have since confirmed that Kieran Lamb, 26, of no fixed address on the Isle of Wight, has now been formally charged with driving without insurance, driving while disqualified, and failing to provide a specimen for analysis.
Lamb has been released on bail and is due to appear before Isle of Wight Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday 21 April.
