Body Found In Cowes As Search For Missing Man Continues

Police searching for missing man Mark James have sadly discovered the body of a man in Cowes this afternoon.

Emergency services were called to public toilets at The Cut in the town centre at around 2:40pm, where the body was found.

Cordons were put in place while the incident was dealt with, with pedestrians diverted from the area.

A police spokesperson said:

“Formal identification has not yet taken place, but Mark’s family have been informed.”

A file will now be prepared for the coroner.
