Flood Warnings Eased But More 'Unsettled' Weather On The Way

A number of flood warning have been rescinded across the Island this morning, with water levels reducing.

The Environment Agency has removed its warnings for Whitwell, Wroxall, Langbridge and Alverstone on the Eastern Yar.

The situation is improving and no further flooding is expected in these areas.

Flood Warnings and alerts may still be in force for surrounding areas.

The water levels in the Upper Eastern Yar are now falling, and will return to normal within the next 24 hours.

Today (Monday) and tomorrow virtually no rain is forecast, giving the river a chance to recover.

From Wednesday onwards, more unsettled weather is expected, bringing further bands of rainfall.

The river will remain sensitive to any further rainfall.
