Young Islanders Invited To Apply For ÂŁ500 Community Grants

Young people on the Isle of Wight are being invited to apply for grants of up to ÂŁ500 to fund projects that could make a positive difference in their communities.
Hampshire and Isle of Wight Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust's 0-19 Service has launched five grants for people aged between 13 and 25.
Applicants must live, study or work on the Isle of Wight or in Hampshire, and be able to complete their project by the end of March 2027.
Applications can be made individually, with a friend, or as part of a group such as a school council, youth group or student union.
Previous projects supported by the scheme include a 16-year-old clearing up a neglected alleyway in Southampton, wellbeing ambassadors at a Romsey school creating a chicken coop for animal therapy, and a 16-year-old organising an LGBTQ+ event in Havant.
The NHS says the grants are designed to help young people take positive action in their local communities while supporting their health and wellbeing.
The deadline for applications is 5 November 2026, with successful applicants to be contacted by email.
