Time Running Out To Sign Up For Dash In The Dark

Time is running out to sign up for the Isle of Wight's annual Dash in the Dark 5K fun run.

The night-time event takes place at Robin Hill on Saturday 3 October, with all proceeds going to the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance.

Almost 500 tickets have already been sold for the family-friendly event, which is open to people of all ages.

Participants are being encouraged to light up the night with bright clothing, neon face paint and fluorescent glow sticks.

Everyone taking part will receive a free Dash in the Dark T-shirt and glow-in-the-dark medal.

The Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance's doctors, pilots and paramedics have responded to almost 1,800 emergencies so far this year.

The service completed its move to a new airbase near Southampton Airport in June, which is expected to improve response times to incidents across the Island.

Online registration closes at midnight on 30 September.
