Victorious Festival returns to Southsea Common next month, with thousands of music fans — including many from the Isle of Wight — preparing for one of the South Coast's biggest weekends of live music.

The three-day festival takes place over the August Bank Holiday weekend (28-30 August), with Richard Ashcroft, The Black Keys and Kasabian topping this year's bill.

Other major acts include Scissor Sisters, Faithless, Bastille, Nile Rodgers & CHIC, Jessie J, Primal Scream, Happy Mondays, The Streets, Basement Jaxx, James Arthur, Kelis, Dizzee Rascal and Rudimental.

Festival organisers say stage times will be announced closer to the event.

Getting There From The Isle Of Wight

Wightlink will once again operate services between the Isle of Wight and Portsmouth throughout the festival weekend, making it one of the easiest ways for Islanders to travel to Southsea.

Visitors arriving by train can walk to the festival from Portsmouth & Southsea, Fratton or Portsmouth Harbour stations. National Express is also running direct coach services from towns and cities across the South.

There is no parking at the festival site itself, although park and ride services and city centre car parks will be available.

Opening Times

Festival gates will be open from 11am until 11pm each day.

Re-entry is permitted until 8pm, provided festival-goers have their wristband scanned when leaving and re-entering.

What You Can't Bring

Security searches will be in place at all entrances.

Items not permitted inside include alcohol, food (apart from baby food), glass bottles, camping chairs, inflatables, large umbrellas, drones, fireworks, flares, nitrous oxide, illegal drugs, flags and professional camera equipment.

Visitors are encouraged to bring an empty reusable water bottle, which can be filled at free drinking water stations across the site.

Camping And Upgrades

Off-site camping will once again be available at Farlington Playing Fields, offering facilities including showers, toilets, food outlets, welfare services and shuttle buses to the festival.

Those looking for a premium experience can also upgrade to either The Hideaway or The Gardens, which offer exclusive entrances, dedicated bars, premium toilets and comfortable seating, with The Gardens also featuring dedicated viewing areas.

Organisers are advising anyone attending the festival to plan their journey in advance and check the latest travel information before setting off.
