Vectis RFC Welcomes Around 200 Young Players For New Season

Around 200 young players have taken part in Vectis RFC's first training sessions of the new season.
Players from Under-6s through to Under-16s trained at Wootton, while the Colts held their session in Sandown following a last-minute venue change.
The club says many new players met their teammates and coaches, with squads looking healthy for the season ahead.
Vectis RFC is still welcoming new players from Under-6s through to Colts, with the first two training sessions free and no obligation to join.
The youth-only club is also looking for volunteers to help with coaching, first aid, team management, administration, events and other roles.
Vectis says anyone volunteering in roles involving children must complete its volunteer registration and DBS checks.
The club is also welcoming sponsorship from local businesses to help support youth rugby on the Isle of Wight.
