Newport Heritage Day returns this Saturday, 12th September, giving Islanders the chance to explore the town’s history for free.
Now in its third year, the event will feature historic buildings, local displays, historical re-enactors, family activities and guided tours.
Newport Minster will host local heritage groups, while Albany Lodge, 64 High Street, Independent Arts and the Guildhall Museum of Island History will also be open to visitors.
There’ll also be special heritage displays in shop windows around the town.
Newport Heritage Day is free and open to everyone. Guided tours of Newport Minster must be booked in advance.
