Cowes based Vectis Refrigeration has taken a bold step toward environmental sustainability by transitioning its fleet of service vehicles to electric vans.

This significant milestone was made possible through a local collaboration with Isle of

Wight-based Vehicle Consulting Solent, which worked closely with the Vectis Refrigeration

team to help source and supply the new electric vehicles.

The partnership ensured that the vans selected not only met the company’s operational demands but also aligned with their commitment to cutting carbon emissions and supporting the island’s green economy.

“We’ve always aimed to be a future-focused company,” said Will Overton, Founder and Director of Vectis Refrigeration.
“Switching to electric vehicles is a natural extension of our values - it’s about doing our part to protect the environment while continuing to deliver outstanding service.
"We’re especially pleased to have partnered with a local business like Vehicle Consulting Solent, whose expertise and support are key in making this transition a success.”

Paul Thorley, Director of Vehicle Consulting Solent, added:

“We are thrilled to support Vectis Refrigeration on their journey toward electrification.
"It’s fantastic to see a local Isle of Wight business leading the way in adopting electric vehicles into their business.
"Our team worked hard to identify the right electric vehicles to meet their specific needs, discussing all options, and we look forward to seeing these vans in action across the Island.”

The new electric vans will serve customers across the island, cutting operational emissions

and contributing to cleaner air and quieter streets.

The transition also supports the Isle of Wight’s broader green initiatives and reflects a growing trend among local businesses to adopt sustainable practices.

By investing in electric mobility, Vectis Refrigeration is setting a strong example for the trade sector, proving that environmental responsibility and technical excellence can go hand in hand.

Vectis Refrigeration is already known for its use of natural and low-GWP refrigerants,

energy-efficient heat pumps, and cutting-edge air conditioning systems.

The shift to an electric fleet further reinforces the company’s leadership in sustainable building services and its deep-rooted care for the local community and environment.
